Terms of Service

These terms cover the websites Shingle ("we", "us") builds, hosts and maintains for your business ("you"). By paying for a plan you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] before you buy.

1. Free previews

We may build a preview of a website for your business from public information, such as your Google listing. Looking at it is free and creates no obligation. Previews are taken down within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.

2. What your plan includes

• A website for your business, built to work on phones.
• A domain registered in your name, plus hosting and security (SSL).
• Setup so search engines and AI assistants can read your business details.
• Up to two content updates a month, such as new photos, hours, services or text. Larger changes are quoted before we start.
• Any add-ons you choose at checkout.

3. Prices and billing

Monthly plan: $59 per month. Yearly plan: $590 per year. Add-ons are billed with your plan at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. We will email you before any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.

4. Minimum term and cancelling

The monthly plan has a 12-month minimum term. After the first 12 months you can cancel at any time, and service ends at the end of the current billing period. If you cancel during the first 12 months, the remaining months of the minimum term are still due. The yearly plan can be cancelled at any time and will not renew; we do not refund the unused part of a year.

5. Your domain and your site when you leave

Your domain is registered in your name. If you leave after your minimum term, we will help you transfer the domain wherever you choose and send you a copy of your site's text and the photos you gave us.

6. Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use the logo, photos and text you send us, and you let us use them to build and run your site. We will not show your site as an example of our work without your permission.

7. Late or failed payments

If a payment fails, we will let you know. If it is not resolved within 14 days, we may pause your site until it is.

8. What we cannot promise

We work to keep your site online and fast, using third-party hosting and services. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, search rankings, or that any search engine or AI assistant will recommend your business.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and email active customers. Changes apply from your next billing period.
